Welcome to Year 5!
Our Year 5 classes are Magpies and Woodpeckers. Mr Brown teaches in Woodpeckers and Mrs May and Miss Ahmed teach Magpies. Our teaching assistants are Miss Javeed, Mr Croghan and Mrs Takkali.
This term we will be learning about the Ancient Greeks in both English and History lessons. The book we shall be reading is called ‘Who let the Gods Out?’ by Maz Evans. This is a story of a Goddess who comes to Earth and shares an adventure with a human called Elliot.
We shall start the term focusing on place value in maths, looking at numbers up to millions. We will be able to read and write numbers, as well as both ordering and comparing them.
PE is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please remember to take out earrings on these days.
