Safeguarding
First and foremost, we provide a safe and caring environment where every individual learner can flourish. Bullying and any form of emotional or physical abuse are not tolerated. We also educate our learners about how to stay safe in the digital world.
As an Academy, we are committed to safeguarding and meeting the needs of all young people. No child should suffer harm, either at home or at school. Everyone who works in our Academy has a responsibility to make sure that all our young people are safe.
If you have any concerns about the welfare of any learner, please ask to speak to our Pastoral Manager Miss C Pickin.
During term time, the DSL will be available during school hours for parents and staff to discuss any safeguarding concerns. When the DSL is absent, the Deputy DSLs; Miss Hall, Mrs M Ward, Mr L Waterfield (SENCO) and Mr D Pardoe (DHT) will act as cover.
We have appointed a designated teacher, Mr D Pardoe who is responsible for promoting the educational achievement of looked-after children and previously looked-after children in line with statutory guidance. The designated teacher is appropriately trained and has the relevant qualifications and experience to perform the role.
If you have any worries about well being, behaviour or bullying, contact the school immediately - email: [email protected]
